Tim Berg (AKA Avicii)

Tim Berg, AKA Avicii, is a hot new DJ/producer hailing from Stockholm. He only started out in 2008 at the tender age of 18 doing a bedroom remix of the theme tune to Commodore 64 game, 'Lazy Jones'. This led to his first release on Strike Recordings, 'Lazy Lace'. Berg became captivated and spent almost every waking hour in his studio creating remixes. Interestingly, he decided not to stick to one genre of house music, but to have a broad range of sounds. His influences include the likes of Laidback Luke, Steve Angello and Daft Punk.

Aviciis first big track 'Manman', was released on none other than Pete Tong's label, Bedroom Bedlam after winning Pete Tong's Fast Trax with 70% of the votes.

The DJ footage comes from the awesome Techno Parade in Paris.

In this clip we meet Tim Berg in his apartment in Stockholm, as he waxes lyrical about how he started out and his method of leaking tracks on internet blogs to create the hype watch out for the new school!

its so crazy to see avicii come a long way in such a short amount of time. early 2010 being interviewed in his small apartment like any regular person with an average room setup to now 2013, traveling the world, having many homes, residency in ibiza and just living the luxurious life of stardom. this definitely is the story of a boy who made a dream his reality in a short amount of time.

The God Of EDM will never be forgotten as long as his music lives. I didn't pay much attention to him at the start, but when I finished school and moved on to pursueing music for my career, I kept hearing things about Avicii and eventually started hearing his music. The first song from Avicii I first heard was Levels, and I was like 'Holy crap, this takes me all the way back to 2011'. I will forever thank Avicii for becoming someone who inspired me for all these years.

... And if your an extreme fan, you would know Tim way before Alcoholic where he made remixes for Fade, Holiday, Escape Me, Remedy, New New New and produced tracks like Cant Fight This Feeling, Samba De Vega and Even.
No I did not search all those tracks up just now, I actually followed him during that time of those productions and am proud to say that I am truly his biggest fan! :)
