The BSE Sensex is trading around 80,650 level, down by 1.35% or around 1100 points. Similarly, the Nifty50 is trading around 24,330, down by 1.37% or around 340 points. The Metal, PSU Bank, Auto, Oil & Gas indices are all trading with cuts of more than 1.5%. HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, and Bharti Airtel are the main contributors to the decline in the Sensex. Initially, smallcaps, midcaps, and microcaps opened on a positive note, but they have now slipped into the red territory, each trading with a cut of almost half a percent.
