They Won’t Wait for You

Two opponents are facing you, one in your front, one in your back. You draw and come to the Seigan stance with the front opponent.

When you stop the front opponent from attacking you, the back opponent starts to attack. So you have no time to turn around and then attack. You must turn around, dodge, and attack, all at the same time.

The cross swing at the end is a form of Zanshin, swinging the katana toward the two opponents that you’ve defeated to show that you still can fight. Join our online lessons from our Patreon page to learn these techniques.

When you take the center line, the opponent freezes for 4-10 tempos while you turn your back to them
