Why I Don’t Like The Fractal Design North 😬

It’s so interesting how tastes vary. I like the “window style” see through panel because it feels a bit more refined and subtle than the huge in your face fishbowl style ones.

That’s exactly why I love this case. Every case now has a glass side panel or multiple glass panels. I love the mesh one. It’s a throwback to simpler cases and you don’t have RGB in your face.

I avoided this by just getting the mesh side panel and avoiding the hassle of RGB in general, it’s just clean a black box with wood

I disagree. There's nothing special about another fully-glass side panel design. They all look the same and this one is different

This is actually one of the reasons I went with the north, not only did I go with the mesh, rather than the glass, which I think also perfectly draws your eyes to the internals of my system, but I also covered that front bar with stickers that are either art my friend made, or were given to me by family members

I bought a North without realising the following it had, I just thought it looked nice, sensibly designed enabling a tidy build and of good quality. Very pleased with my purchase.

I honestly actually like it even more with these metal sides and white sides makes it look sturdy

This case really shines with the mesh. It looks more like a completed product rather than a product with a glass cutout to flex hardware

The Corsair 5000D and 6500X have exchangeable fronts with wooden options

The 6500X has the very popular two glass panel layout similar to the O11.

It also depends on the budget ofc, as the 6500X is around 180$ and the 150$.

As a Fractal North user, I can say it looks extremely clean. Js my opinion though.

Picked the Fractal North mesh style case for my new machine, super happy with it.

Just use whatever case you want and apply a wood vinyl.

It is cheaper, more durable and you can remove the sticker if you get tired of it.

You can also use any wood type you want instead of the one the manufacturer chose

That’s a valid point.

I’m planning on using this case for my planned build over the summer cause I like to have my rgb set to a fire pattern, and the wood accent would make it look kinda like a fireplace with ARGB fans

I tried the fractal north in white with the black glass and it looks way better imo.
