Israelite from the Tribe of Dan here. My ancestors were scattered beyond the River Euphrates after the Assyrian exile (1 Kings 14:15) and came all the way to Papua New Guinea where they named their first village Dan Topnge (Root of Dan) and the Mountain overlooking them Bilhah. Further up was a place they named Maleh (which means Accomplished in Hebrew) and the village beyond they named Mulah (meaning circumcision in Hebrew) and further north they named a village, YAKOP, (after our forefathers Jacob/Israel). My ancestors observed the Law as customs such as Circumcisin which we still observe to this day, Isolation of Lepers, observation of menstrual and child birth laws, night weddings, offering of first fruits of harvests etc.

When as a theology student I learnt about the lost 10 tribes after the captivity by the Assyrians, I got into a depression for weeks😔 It is so heartwarming to learn that the lost tribes are being retraced and rediscovered. Although he mentioned the tribe of Judah several times, he failed to mention that beyond exile, they were sent in to slavery via ships. I guess that would have sounded too much like truth. Also, the conflation between Jews and Israelites is getting old. They are not the same. One is a religion(Judaism) based loosely on the name Judah and the other is a relationship with the Creator and a familial BLOODLINE.

I'm Igbo from the tribe of Benjamin. While there are Hebrew Israelites scattered in many parts of the world, igbo land remains the largest concentration of the ancient Hebrew Israelites. No other group on earth has received the four punishments God promised to give out to His people because of their disobedience: 1) Captivity/Slavery. Many Igbos were taken as slaves to the Americas. 2) Sword/War. The third world war happened in 1967 when two superpowers, the UK and USSR, teamed up with Nigeria and other countries to end 6 million Biafran igbo lives. 3) Famine. During the war, they placed a food blockade on Biafra, and million of igbos starved to death. 4) Pestilence. The Red Cross stated that 10 thousand Biafran children were dying of kwasiokor daily, during that war.

The US, UK and Israeli governments have acknowledged that igbos are the wandering Jews of Africa. We have suffered alot for the iniquities of our ancestors. All praise be to Yahweh for His mercies and the Covenant.

Love this well researched documentary! I am from Zimbabwe and we share border with South Africa. The Lemba/Remba people are Jews who had kept their traditions for centuries!

A Portuguese historian narrated that when he entered Munhumutapa/Monomutapas kingdom he saw a group of people who were worshipping a true Living God and observing the Mosaic Low including the ten commandments!

This was before British colonization.

Around the year 2000 Jews from Israel came to the Lemba/Remba people when they got news that the Ark of the Covenant was found among the Lemba/Remba people, only to discover that it was a wooden replica of the original ark though different from the Biblical one. That confirms they are indeed from the tribe of Lev.

Jews fligh from Isreal to Zimbabwe and South Africa to minister to the Lemba/Remba in kind. I personally believe like the narrator said God will personally regather all the twelve tribes of Israel! They are not lost but scattered.

Native American tribes have found ancient scrolls their ancestors held. They had them translated to modern language and have discovered the words are in Hebrew. There are tribes of American Indians that have held music festivals in Israel and they danced to and sang ancient songs passed down from their ancestors for crowds of people in Israel. People in the audience came to the performers and asked if they understood what they were singing. They replied no, just that the music was from their ancestors. The people told the tribe members that they were singing ancient Hebrew hymns.
God protected His people. There have always been remnants of Hebrews in Israel and remnants have been kept in other nations.

My mother's tribe, (one of the 12 Pathan tribes) Danishmand/Wisemen lived in the outskirts of Jallandhar city in Northern India in a place called Bara Bastiyan ( literally meaning 12 tribes). All these tribes were staunch Muslims, but they had this story/ tradition of being decendants of Bani Israel ( some of them believed it to be true, but some didn't and treated it as a joke). Their women though still to this day have this tradition of adorning their black net shawls with 6 sided golden stars which they craft themselves out of golden ribbons on the occasions of weddings.
The other such 12 tribes place was also situated outside the University town of Aligarh. They used Khan as surname for men, and Khanam as surname for women as my mother's family members do.
