imagine how amazing this show would have been if they had the time and the budget for it. it was already awesome, and that was with a limited budget and not enough time. if it was done the way the studio actually wanted it done, i have no doubt this would have been one of the greats that everybody knew, like cowboy bebop, gurren lagann, or evangelion

never heard of this anime but imma watch it now I love fights

after rewatching this a million times ive come to a conclusion about Hakuhei Sabi and why he saved Togame and why his fight wasnt fully show

he didnt save her because he was nice and didnt want her to die, he saved her to stop Shichiki from being distracted from their battle, as he hasnt had a worthy opponent he wanted shichiki to be focused.
and his death wasnt show because he was too damn cool, showing his death would have dishonored his legacy they didnt want him to be shown dying but remembered for his coolness

This made my stomach churn, I fucking loved them from the first episode, he loved her and then they fucked us. I almost cried as much as I did watching Akame Ga Kill.
