reason why the numbers sound the same in a lot of languages from Europe, Hindi and Farsi(persian) is because they are all Indo-European languages with a common ancestor. Over 3-4 thousand years they have changed and along with the people but in the end they are still in the same family

ek = yek
do = do
tiin = se
chaar = cahâr
paanch = panj
che = šeš
saat = haft
aath = hašt
nau = noh
das = dah

Namoshkar.These hindi lessons are very useful. i learned hindi from my 5th STD schooling.After entered Central Govt.service also learned Hindi Official Level that too upto Kariyaalay Tippon level and having lot of hindi lesson books as my own.
