After careful analysis, there are two critical factors to the DDLC Team’s victory. The first is the lack of product comprehension on the LDWC Team’s end - people like muffins because a wider range of flavors work with muffins than with cupcakes. For example, pumpkin muffins are pretty popular because the flavor matches the consistency of the batter when baked. However, they went with a basic muffin flavor (“breakfast muffins”) and added no sort of topping. This gave the DDLC team both visual appeal, more potential flavors, and an advantage thanks to the lighter cupcakes being LESS dehydrating than muffins (don’t forget they’re on a bike path - drier and heavier foods are the opposite of what you want!).



The second factor would be DDLC’s masterful heist at the end, although this wasn’t nearly as crucial.
