I chose Genghis Khan for many reasons. Iron Maiden goes back to my early years before I picked up a pair of drumsticks. As a matter of fact this album came out the same year as Moving Pictures and I remember going back and forth between these two discs. Clive Burr is one of the most underrated drummers of this genre. We lost him in 2013 to MS. Iron Maiden, especially in the early years did not have double bass AT ALL in their music. Both of their drummers have the most incredible right foot stuff ever recorded. For myself, I have always been more interested in pushing the right foot to its limits. In this song, during the intro , there is a lot of double bass work between the floor tom and kick drum - similar to what we saw in the last video with Four Sticks.

I APOLOGIZE FOR THE SHAKY CAMERA! I'M LEAVING IT (DESPITE THE AMATEUR CONNOTATION) FOR THREE REASONS:

1. it's a reflection of how the world feels right now with this quarantine and the future being uncertain.
2. Bonus theatrics at no extra charge!
3. it makes me homesick for California when I would practice during earthquakes

.......... but in this case I WAS the earthquake. 'Muhahahaha!!!!
