Kali Linux 2.0 - Virtualbox Setup

Installation guide to install Kali Linux 2.0 64-bit into Virtualbox. I'm using Ubuntu 15.10, but the install instructions are identical for Windows 7 and Mac OSX.

Notes:
install
open Iceweasel browers, search for "kali repo"

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y build-essential dkms linux-headers-amd64
shutdown, configure box, startup
snapshot

Hey Apollo Clark, great video, but I am having some difficulties. Once I installed it, first off there was no iceweasel, second how are we supposed to do all those downloads if we can't connect to the internet in the virtualbox?

Hi, thanks for the tutorial... I find that the screen resolution options are all greyed out through the View menu.... any ideas? Appreciate any suggestions...

why can't you say yes to the network mirror? isn't it supposed to get the updates for you? and also is this the same for mac virtualisation?

If i do this, i will still have my windows 7 right? Kali linux alongside windows 7... i searched alot for that kind of video, but everyone had 32 - bit which had different download :(

Apollo Clark can you help me please i have a problem with my virtual box i get a error that says meditation guru error i have 32 bit not 64 bit i do not know if that changes anything and my computer is running on windows 10

after installation is completed and vm reboots the machine, i just get a black frozen screen. If i close virtualbox and restart, i get the linux bootscreen but after selecting kali GNU again just a frozen black screen... what do i do?

Hello.I can not install the Guest additions CD image although the file seems to be there.If i check on settings the file is there you help?

when I got up to the point: sudo bash
it said failed to something I cant remember, and it said check log books, I just skipped this step and did the rest, its running, but Im just not sure if I need to fix that thing.
