🔍 How can the murder rate in the US be dropping while the number of gun owners is on the rise? Join us in today's video as we dive deep into the intriguing dynamics of what gun control proponents think is a paradoxical trend.

🤔 Contrary to anti-gun logic that suggests more guns lead to more murders, let's explore the flawed assumption that gun owners are purchasing firearms with malicious intent. Spoiler alert: this ain't the purge!

💪 Even in a hypothetical scenario like the purge, we argue that most people would be buying guns for protection. It's time to challenge misconceptions and unravel the truth behind the statistics.

🚨 Remember, the media often sensationalizes shootings to instill fear and push for gun control. With the constant bombardment of every incident on social media, the perception can quickly overshadow the reality in a country of over 300 million people.

🔗 In this video, we separate fact from fiction, dissecting the complex relationship between rising gun ownership and decreasing murder rates. Don't miss out on this thought-provoking exploration – hit that play button and join the conversation! 🗣️🎥 #GunOwnership #CrimeTrends #realitycheck

1991: 200 million guns, 24, 700 homicides.
2020: 400 million guns, 21, 570 homicides.
Do the math.

Had several conversations about guns over the past few days since I took my Brazilian in-laws out shooting for the first time. A common theme was that gun control works and that's why the US needs more like Brazil, then our gun violence would decline like Brazil. Everyone including my wife were shocked that Brazil is actually the world leader in gun violence despite being a place with heavy restrictions on guns AND despite having fewer people than in the US. They were also shocked that Brazil murder rates were increasing until Jair Bolsonaro loosened some of the restrictions, making the murder rates drop. Also shocked that immediately after Lula took office and put heavy restrictions back into place, the gun violence has rapidly increased to an all-time high.

Looks like gun control doesn't work after all and our perception on the US having a major problem is all because of dishonest media.

As Robert Heinlein once said ... "An armed society is a polite society."
.
I recently had a conversation on civilian disarmament with a person who claimed to be a Police Officer for the last 34 years .. yet he also claimed that he'd never responded to a call where anyone used a firearm in self-defense. And when I called "shenanigans" he doubled down saying that the CDC and crime statistics don't count because he only believes his own "personal experience". Then he went out of his way to talk about how the NRA, other gun groups and lobbyists paid for Republicans to boost gun sales. He also stated that "civilians" shouldn't own firearms because criminals will just steal them and commit crimes ... (sigh).
I tried to hit him with some facts but apparently the news site's algorithm didn't believe that they met "community (communist) guidelines" and deleted the comment.
.
Facts, logic, reason and honesty mean nothing to the anti-gun crowd. Everything's the fault of the gun (and gun owners) so, according to them, all crime will cease once we all give up our right to self-defense and hand in our guns to the government.

I just lost a good friend of mine 3 weeks ago to suspicious circumstances. I had always told him to carry a gun for personal protection. He chose not to and I can't help to wonder if he would still be here today if he had a way to defend himself.

I’ve owned firearms since 1980, never had to use it but I did have to expose it on a few occasions. I can say from personal experience, firearms absolutely stops a potential threat. YOU are the first responder, not the police.

The anti gunners, no doubt, are jumping through their butts trying to figure out a way to explain this that doesn't crush their narrative.

An armed society, is a polite society

Crime IS still up! Murder is down (from an already high number) because there are less “person to person” robberies (which could have led to a murder). Instead, the thieves would rather steal from the local Best Buy cause it’s a much softer target.

How can we believe anything from this government or the media

Murders have always decreased with increased gun ownership.

I remember when I renewed my CCDW and left the reasoning blank. The clerk told me I really should fill it out, hinting as well that the system would deny me if it were blank. I put self defense and asked her (because I was annoyed) a rhetorical question something along the lines of has anyone actually ever put "for murder". It pissed me off (as a constitutional carry believer) that I couldn't leave it blank as a "none of your mfing business" response. It was just asinine, as if I was willing to murder but somehow drew the line at lying on the form. To clarify, I am not and will not. The point being that if a criminal is willing to commit the most grievous offenses then giving a false reason is nothing.

Despite the good news about less homicides this won’t ever be portrayed in the mass media this way. Thanks Colion.

Our murder rate went up this year last year by 6. we had 178, last year, and 184 this year. But funny the media is not saying how many were from guns. Just that, that there was a number of murders due to shootings. Oh and yes 99.9 % were in the inner city.

retail theft may be also down because of two reasons, it was sky high since the start of the big coof, secondly DAs choose not to prosecute and just let them loose without it being count into statistical data...

Biden blabbering about banning assault weapons reminds me of that scene in Star Wars Episode 3 where the people cheer at the idea of their rights being taken away.

We have constitutional carry here in Indiana and even in Indianapolis the homicide rate is going down. Crazy how that works, huh?

Thank you for spreading the truth Colion 🙏

This data blows the controllers narrative out of the water. We NEED to keep spreading the news that increased ownership does NOT equal more deaths.

It gets really interesting when you look into those numbers and see how many of those homicides was done with "controllable" legally bought guns...
