In todays episode of Rebuild Rescue we are finally diving into the clean up of the interior! The inside of this plane is coated in mold, dirt, bird, mouse and probably countless other animals waste who have called this airplane home for the last 17 years, but today all that is going to change!
Before departing on a family ski trip, we were able to throw out all the trash left behind, remove the passenger seats and tray tables, as well as getting a shop vac inside and sucking up all the large debris.

As a paramedic I want to give props to the EMS personnel working the slopes. They’ve got a tough job. And you sir, please be a good patient and get your physical therapy done so we can see you back at the hangar. We’ll still be here for ya.

When you were listing all of the kinds of poop I kept thinking of the guy on Forrest Gump with the different types of shrimp. Sorry about the knee. My wife broke her ACL nearly two years ago and despite surgery she still has trouble with it. I hope your recovery is better.

That was impressive to see the ski patrol doing their work! Glad you included it; reminds us of their value when we need them.

Get well soon! Looking forward to seeing the 401 all spruced up

Know what you're going through. I just had my second total knee replacement. Must say I'm impressed with latest medical advancements. This one was outpatient and I was driving my car after two weeks of PT. Not bad for an 80 year old. Oh yeah, I rebuilt a 1965 Beech Musketeer many years ago and enjoyed it for a long time. You're bringing a nostalgic tear to these old eyes. Get well soon.

Sitting in my bed, where I’ve been for the past month due to a broken kneecap, watching your video all I can say is I feel your pain man. Get well soon and don’t rush things, it’s going to take time but you want to get it to work as well as before, right? Patience is the name of the game. Patience and rest.

What an action packed adventure! The Birds Nest is looking good; you saved a mouse and you've been rescued and rebuilt! Hope you have a speedy recovery, and we'll all be here when you get back!

Hope you have a speedy recovery. Also, when you get back to the 401, I would recommend spraying down the carpeting with an antiseptic prior to removal. The dried droppings on the surface are likely pretty stable, but the rodent urine in the carpet can harbor parvovirus for a long time. Better safe than sorry.

Saw the split pin struggle. I get that sometimes when they are at awkward angles/places. (Im a mechanic). Just a trick to try next time, I made a realtively thin hook of hardened steel (fits through the loop head of most split pins). Using that and a screwdriver as a lever, they pop right out.
Been watching this since the start, doing amazing work.

I enjoy this rescue a lot. I’ve got 11, 000+ hours and fly a 747 now, but my start in aviation was in a CE402. I’ve got 1, 700 hours in 402 (a, b, c), 414 and 421 aircraft. The 400 series Cessna is by far one of the most stable platforms out there. Keep up the good work! I’m really excited about this project. Get well soon.

OMG Jason. I’m so sorry this has happened. Your family must be so worried at the moment. Please take your time getting back on your feet because we aren’t going anywhere. Please accept our love and best wishes from Roger and Lindsay. UK ❤️

slowly coming along, but every step is progress. Hope You have a speedy recovery, as that's more important than project 401.

Hang in there Jason! Sorry to hear you jacked up your knee. Falling down in your 40's sucks. We don't heal like we used to brother. Prayers for a speedy recovery! I am excited to see you back in the 401!

Praying for a speedy recovery, I’m sorry this happened to you on your vacation, you really deserved a vacation you’ve been working pretty hard on the free plane, I’ll continue to watch as you heal.

Get well soon. I know from experience that you will be itching to get back to work on the 401. This cleaning video takes me back to when I cleaned out an upper barn for free hardwood! What a mistake. No mask. I was sick for a long time from inhaling dust, feces etc. You probably should have had the chemical filters on, rather than the dust filters. I learned my lesson. This is the best channel I'm watching currently. The anticipation is the best part. It looks like the interior will look great when it's done.

I was going to make some “Heisenberg” reference in the comments when I saw you suiting up— you had the same idea! 😂 On a serious note, you mentioned in one of your previous videos something about getting the younger generation into aviation. I’m 19, and I’ve been an amateur aviation enthusiast for a few years, and this channel (this series in particular) has pushed me to delve deeper into everything. Love the way the series has played out so far, best of luck with the rest, and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Take it easy let it heal, if you can I would like to thank mountain rescue, nurse's, and doctors, for all that they have done for you, all the best from Scotland

Speedy recovery, your rebuild is way more important than the 401. That can wait. Take care 🙂
