I’m a dad whose daughter came out to her mum and me when she was 14 she’s nearly 16 now.
I’m so proud of her for having the confidence to tell us.
We sometimes sit and watch these amazing short films together.

I am a Christian and i just wanted to let everyone know that God does love you no matter what your sexuality is. it’s the people who make it seem differently. God loves everyone no matter what.

As someone who’s 23 and was literally in this exact situation, let me tell you ITS OKAY TO FEEL. I would repress my feelings towards girls out of fear and only last year was I able to accept myself and undo all the damage I placed on myself. You’re allowed to feel and be happy. Let go and accept yourself. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks. It’s better than being numb.

"That was the first time I didn't look to see if people were watching" PLEASSe THIS LINE MADE ME SOB IM NOT KIDDING. I can't wait to feel that way, to not have to "look". Even though I'm an adult I still worry because religion is all around me in my family and city. My day will come though and this beautiful film reminds me of that hope. THA K YOU FOR THIS.

"I was always so afraid. Afraid someone would see, afraid of what people would think, afraid that maybe.. the church was right."

This hits so close to home it's scary. I was raised Catholic my whole life, and although I love my faith, I've grown up hearing that being gay is a sin from everyone around me. Last year, I fell in love with my best friend. We dated for a while, and as much as I tried to tell myself that God loves me regardless of my sexuality, I still always had that feeling in the back of my mind telling me that the church could be right. Every time we hung out, I was hesitant to kiss her or hold her hand out of fear someone would see or we would be judged. A year later I'm still in love with the same girl, but we're no longer dating.. I'm still trying to accept myself for who I am.

Lgbtq+ representation is so important and I feel like we don't see it done well in movies or tv shows but this is amazing.
