08/27/2021 Montour, Ia. This East bound UP mixed freight was just ahead of an East bound autorack. It looked to be a pretty close race and it was my first train race to witness in Montour. I'd have to guess that the autorack ended up winning! 09/05/2021 Fort Madison, Ia. Did a road trip on the bike to Southeast Iowa and on the way back caught some train action in Fort Madison. Lots of good train action along this old Santa Fe line (BNSF), and the Amtrak train with the Pennsylvania car was a nice surprise. The swing bridge crosses the Mississippi river and is unique with the automobile traffic above the tracks!

Love your videos Sir. I also love your little place by the tracks. I’d love to live there. My daughter loves your videos, she is 3.5 years old. Keep them coming, Cheers from Ontario 🇨🇦

Liked the race, hope ol’ Smokey won. Would like to go to Ft. Madison someday.

That race in front of your camper site in Montour, Iowa was a great catch. That eastbound auto rack train with the double stacks on the end of it was a total surprise. All of a sudden we hear another train horn and there is the auto rack on track #1 speeding along trying to over take the mixed freight on track #2. That Amtrak train at Ft. Madison, Iowa on 5 September 2021 with the former Pennsylvania Railroad passenger car was a good catch too. Do you know if that Amtrak train was the Southwest Chief? Thankk you for being where you were to capture these three trains and for sharing them with us!
