I love this series of videos!! I don't think I'll be swapping my Arion Chorus for an Angel Wing, but on the basis of this video it's tough to justify the Arion being 4 times more expensive!

I think the Angel Wing sounds awesome, ever since the Chorus shootout. Such a great sound for such a tiny pedal.

Both have that beautiful analog chorus sound, the Arion seems to be more extreme than the Angel Wing but that may be a good thing depending on how you look at it. I really like the lushness of the Angle Wing. Both amazing though!

If the angel wing had a tone control it could get closer. Not a bad pedal though.. Especially for the money difference!

The Arion is better sounding and the knobs have much wider scope but i'm really impressed by the Tone city, not to shabby at all.

I just bought the angel wing, and I love it. For £45, you really can't go wrong. perfect just to add some flavour to your clean channel. Even works nicely with my acoustic

I liked the Angel Wing more! Seems to have more clarity. But the Arion has that really lush tone!

Gotta say, to my ears, Tone City does it for me! At the price it's going on my Andertons Wish List! ;-)

For my ears the Tone City Angel Wing had more usable tones at every setting. The Arion by far has more variability, but I didn't like alot of the in-between tones. Everything on the Angel Wing sounded good to me.

think if the angel wing had a tone control could get closer, quite bright sounding or digital as some would say, decent tone in any case, arion is a lot warmer, lush sounding or analog as they say ;)

i guess delay would be a good one, say tape echo, you've got the fulltone which is ridiculously goliathy and say a mooer/tone city etc..

The Angel Wing sounds good, clear, and bright at low volumes like this, but probably not as pleasing at stage or band volumes. The warmth is key for loud gigs.

Wow I thought there wouldn't be such a major difference. I still think Arion is too expensive but man... how deep and smooth it is... dreamy sound

Really cool video series, you guys should do an analog delay challenge, Boss DM3, MXR Carbon Copy and Tone City ;)

I have a Providence Anadime Chorus and the Angel Wing, I found the Tone City pedal added a fair bit of high end which sounds a little artificial and also increases the volume a fair bit but for £50... The Providance has a thickness to the low end and smooth highs which just makes it sound more authentic and old school, blends well with overdrive. It all depends on what your after.

The Arion just a warmth and smoothness that I love

That angel wing must have an actual angel feather inside coz as far as I'm concerned that thing sounds amazing and for the price, it's nearly god-like.

Both of them sound great in my opinion... It's just that the angel wing tempts to make the sound a bit more thin where the arion keeps the original signal and EQ more or less the same

Chorus is one of my favorite effects and I thought they both sounded great. The main difference I heard was the that the Arion seemed to be more pronounced at the crest of the modulation (if that makes sense) were as the Angel was more even sounding. I also liked that the Angel had a level adjustment to dial it back. If I had my choice I would go with the Angel wing because it was even sounding through the course of the modulation.
