For anyone who wants to know the meaning behind the mix: The meaning of this mix is so incredibly deep and special to me. So much of it can be thought about being unable to lose someone else a partner, a lover, a friend and it is. But even deeper is not losing yourself. Its not here to spew some "it always gets better' rhetoric but rather "it could get better, and you OWE it to yourself to not let yourself go yet”. The mashup I made with When the Magic Dies & ICU at 47:22 captures the meaning of the whole mix. The female vocals that says "Don't you let me go because we've come this far" is begging you to not give up on yourself because of you've come so far. The male vocals "you've been hurting in a million ways no one else can see" acknowledge all the unspoken pain you've had to endure to still be here, be breathing, trying to get through another day of hell. His vocals offer a level of understanding for your suffering that maybe no one else ever has. If there is one message I have for the world, to YOU READING this right now (yeah Im speaking to YOU) IS TO JUST hold on A LITTLE Longer, to use mixes like these to remember you ARE SO WORTH THIS FIGHT and making it to tomorrow. 2023 has been a constant struggle for me, needless to say that was my worst year. Lost interest in my study, in my job and spending time with people that do not care about my feelings. I once spent hours listening to all of my friends problems, but when it's my problem I cannot share with everyone and that sucks.

Here I am on the 4th day of Lunar New Year 2024, determined to change everything. This is the year for me to listen deeply from myself and overcome the mess called 2023. This has been a fantastic remix and I hope to hear this regularly during 2024.

I normally don't leave comments on YouTube, in fact this is the first one I've ever done. I found this channel a while back and quite often play the mixes uploaded when I'm gaming or drawing/coding. Found this a few hours ago and honestly this mix really hit me harder than any have before. This year I lose my boyfriend of 4 years, got close to a friend who is too broken to love me, lost 2 communities and friend groups, lost accounts in my art hobby and hit my lowest point ever. This mix really captures all the emotions I've been going through this year especially this last month so I wanted to write this comment to thank you for creating this mix that is a light in the darkness, thank this whole channel for being my soundtrack of my life and giving me hope when I feel like there is none! I found this playlist and decided to listen to it during a major math test. I was doing okay(ish) but as the class went on I was getting more and more stressed. I was about to just hand in the test with a dozen questions blank when 48:19 came on. After hearing all that more intense music, the quiet orchestral music literally made me pause. I sat there listening to Don't Let The Magic Die x ICU and by the time it finished I felt rejuvenated and kept working. I finished the test and I got a 98/100.

2023 was probably the hardest I've had to go through. Broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years. It felt like I lost all the dreams that her and I had together, all the things that we planned and now I'm just left with memories of a life I used to have. She moved out and I was alone in the place that her and I moved into together.

Even 8 months on, it feels hard to go to sleep sometimes because the bed feels empty without her there with me. I've had to accept that I have depression because of this whole situation. We hardly even talk now, only just a few words. But I have to move on with my life and with my dreams.

I've had to learn who I was before her and even then, use the growth that I had through being with her and just go for it. At the end of the day, a lesson I've learned is that noting will last and everyting will pass so it's best to enjoy it whilst it's still there.

Thank you for this Karmaxis. I've loved all your previous mixes but there's something about your end of year mixes that hits differently. You've managed to capture all the the emotions that I went through. Appreciate everything you do. ❤🤘🏽

This mix hits hard. I'm confused, on the one hand there's all those messages of holding on and keep going. On the other hand it's so easy to just quit it all, to loose yourself and to end it. I wish i had the strenght to do something about it, either way. I am stuck in this limbo of melancoly and despair, wishing for an end that will seemingly never come. All I know is to wallow in my miserable past filled with regrets and bitterness.

I wish for everyone to keep fighting, to find strenght and peace. I have the firm belief that everyone can do it.... but me. I cannot because i'm not worth it.
