Star Wars is not just a film series, its a part of who we are. Its the Saturday afternoons we spent experiencing the magic in front of our televisions over and over again. Its the games we played outside with toy lightsabers and action figures when we were kids, and adults too. Its the characters that grew with us and who we all wished we could be, and who we eventually came to love like family. Its the adventures we all felt like we were apart of. Its the characters we dressed up as for Halloween. Its the badass video games we played every day. Its the stories of hope and adventure that brought happiness to all of us even when were at our worst. Its these experiences that I will pass down to my kids, and hopefully they will pass to theirs. This Christmas, after 32 long years, we are all going back home friends.

No matter what they show me, no matter how good anything LOOKS, I will not let myself get over-excited about this movie. I will not hype myself up like we did for the prequels.  I will wait, I will HOPE, but I WILL NOT believe until I see the movie itself with my own eyes.  Only than will put my faith and heart into this new Trilogy.

Only AFTER they have proven themselves.

You all should have learned from the prequels that trailers *DO NOT PROVE ANYTHING.*

Same Star Wars. Different Story. 

This is how it should be. No reboots. No remakes. The Star Wars universe is too strong to change and warp. It's good that some part of the movie industry truly understands that.
