Ryzen 5 2600 vs Ryzen 5 3600 Tested in 2023 - RTX 3070

In this video, I'm benchmarking the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 vs the AMD Ryzen 5 3600. The Ryzen 5 2600 has a turbo frequency of 3.9 GHz and the Ryzen 5 3600 has a turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz. This would mean that the Ryzen 5 3600 will be better. Both also have 6 cores and 12 threads.

I went from R5 2600 to R5 3600 (because I got the upgrade for free), and the improvement was pretty much in line with the examples and the numbers here. That is not to say that the gaming was bad on R5 2600, it is just the R5 3600 is that much better and more consistent on the 1.0% and 0.1% lows.

Games like The Witcher can be pushed to 1440p & still maintained a solid 60 maybe a lil dip below but nothing too major... For FPS games, I'll say it is well done indeed in 1080p medium/high settings... I wouldn't complain much if I were to buy one of these CPUs... It is still a great value product despite being 4-6 years old... Kudos!!

I went from Athlon 240G (duel core) to the Ryzen 5 2600. Much snappier.

if you include valheim again, next time pls include it but with builds around 9000 instances so we can actually see how the cpu handle it.

Im still daily driving Ryzen 2600 for my office work, paired with Rx550 4gb. Smooth like butter :)

I have both cpus and I can say if you want like 120fps I’m games you need the 3600 if you want 100 fps gaming you can get a 2600

I decided to use 2600 and rx 5700 xt; but now i will use 3600 and rx 5600
