Mastering the self: Prof Nkuhlu’s reflections on leadership and purpose

With just a week before the University of Cape Town (UCT) community gathers to raise funds for students through the UCT Day initiative, UCT News caught up with UCT alumni Prof Wiseman Nkuhlu as he reflected on his latest book: Purposeful Leadership for Africa in the 21st Century. Prof Nkuhlu shares his thoughts on the importance of self-mastery – a key theme in the book and how it can help equip individuals to become visionary leaders.

A number of UCT Alumni will be showcasing their books on the day, with young and emerging writers in conversation with other authors and connecting with readers.
