Old school. Di Capri was not a contestant in Sanremo this year; he's 84 and was invited on that stage just to celebrate his career.
I guess you're ready now to react to the most classy, popular and loved italian singer: Mina (Mazzini). Her performance in Sanremo 1961 (Mille bolle blu/One thousand blue bubble) still remains one of the most iconic ever.

Madame also did a wonderful cover of an old song by Fabrizio De Andrè. Can you do the reaction? Madame with Izi "Via del Campo". Thank you.

And in July he'll be 84... unfortunately the voice is no longer there but the charme remains intact 🙂

Let's say it clear... the celebrations of the careers in sanremo are quite pathetic. Most of the times these prizes are given to singers who will soon no longer be with us. Peppino di Capri does not sell a record since the early 80es. His music is oldstyle and he didn 't leave any trace in the panorama of italian m usic if not for three or four songs from the 60es. It happened the same thing few years ago when the prize was given to Rita pavone, who, at least, in his first five years sold more that 35 million records around the world from 1964 to 1968 (including uk and USa). There are plenty of artists that deserve that prize and will not step on that stage because they don't have the right friendships.
