"He can't keep getting away with this!" -Oilers fans, mere moments before Bobrovsky continued to get away with it.

That breakdown of Barkov's collapse on Bouchard was top-tier, the type of shit that gets me all giddy for hockey.

Barkov getting the game winner after being elbowed in the jaw is the cherry on top for me, absolutely love it as a Kings fan.

BOBBY is an all-timer. Panther fans are not surprised by what he's doing. I told Oiler fans that they haven’t seen anyone like Bob and he will frustrate the hell out of them. I told you guys. Barky getting the game winner was poetic justice.

As someone who covers the Panthers daily, as I watched the other teams in the playoffs, I began to realize just how spoiled we are in terms of how this team plays defense. I would watch other teams play and think that D is crap, only to listen to fans and media opine about how that team played well on D that night. Before this series Oilers fans told me that we did not know what we were in for, that Edmonton played Florida's exact style of defense and could match us. I get it, as last year we thought we were beating Vegas when we in fact, were not. The buy in from every player, coupled with Bob, and the ridiculous advantage we have with Lundell at 3C is what has led to this, alone with the steady hand of Paul Maurice. Hell even I have been changed by Maurice. This is my 8th season of covering the team and my emotions were always all over the place in regard to the teams play. Now when the team is slumping I just casually wait for them to come out of it and start playing well again. Throw in the best GM in the game despite what NHL media votes, and we Panthers fans are lucky as hell and know it.

It took a tip and a shot that wasn't on net that hit a Panther on the elbow that magically got in to beat Bob.

It took luck and a fluke bounce to beat Bob. That's how good he's been. It's insane.

I think this series just shows how complete the Panthers are as a team

The Panthers radio announcers kept explaining how the defense was using layers against the Oilers. So, in effect, the Panthers are within 1 game of the Stanley Cup by using the Shrek defense.

Bob is something really special. At 35 years young dude is dependable and ages like Brodeur and Luongo, at times entertains like Hasek and Tim Thomas. As much as I love Barkov I feel Bob is the ultimate problem nobody could solve in these playoffs and therefore Conn Smythe should be his.

The jaw is a long way from the heart. Well said. And for barkov to get the GWG is gold. Cats for the sweep and Deadmonton are just that

Massive shout out to Hockey Psychology for always dropping vids that don't just say "this team's cooked" or "this teams on a heater" but taking the time to break it down and show WHY a teams offensive or defensive strategy is working, or how a team is in their own heads trying to solve a goalie, or how a players skills and hockey iq lead to them getting the amazing opportunities they get. Luck is just opportunity meets preparation and Hocjey Psychology breaks those lucky moments down.

Before the 2023 playoffs, if you asked any hockey pundit: Is Bobrovsky a HoF? The answer probably would've been universally no, despite two Vezina's. Now, he's pretty much guaranteed his induction.

One thing about the pad save at the end of the game. McDavid sure looks like he was trying to bank it off Bob and in.. Bob dodged the puck then got in to make the save.

The save is even better than most people think IMO.
