Mau Scatolini is The Funny Brazilian.

Born and raised in Brazil where he spent 27 years of his life. Mau moved to Canada in 2007 to pursue his martial arts passion and to develop his Comedy career. Mau Scatolini has been working really hard to learn every aspect of comedy. After 4 years working toward mastering the language he took his first step into the comedy scene in Canada by performing at many open mics. Surprised with such a great reaction from the crowd, he decided to take a 6 week stand-up comedy class at Laughter Zone 101 taught by Janice Bannister. The class show at Lafflines Comedy Club, showcased Mau's charisma and along with his very original material, he had an immediate connection with the audience. That was when Mau fell in love with stand- up comedy.

Mau's passion for comedy along with his business background, makes him a very goal driven comedian. Mau has over 150 performances in his first 6 months of comedy. He has qualified as one of the Top 60 funniest comic's in Canada at Patrick Maliha's People's Champ of Comedy 2012, and in 2013 and made it to the semi-finals. Mau also was one of the Semi-Finalist at the Yuk Yuk's 2013 Yuk OFF.

COMEDY STYLE:
Mau Scatolini's style of comedy is very simple... He is a very clean comedian. He talks about being a big fish out of the water. What it is like to be an immigrant, He talks about the differences between Brazil and North America, about his childhood, his life experiences and all the troubles he had dealing with a different language. He likes to also interact with the crowd and get them to smile back.
