I have the regular one, it is actually great. On the Z9 it is wonderful. I do hope Nikon makes a lenses with an aperture ring for full manual use on the new Zf that is coming out

great lens. I grabbed the weather-sealed mount off an FTZ adapter, swapped it onto this lens and then returned the FTZ. now I have a special special edition!

My first camera, an Olympus 35 RD rangefinder, had a 45mm/f1.7 lens. Didn't know how good it was because I was only 12 years old and mostly used black and white film and enlarged to tiny 2x3" prints. Later at school we can hire the dark room so I had some of my film printed on 8x10", with cropping. Still very sharp.

Unfortunately everything is plastic nowadays. I feel like the old f mount G lenses while plastic just looked better. You have to go to f1.2s lenses to get a better build quality.
