As a Stalker vet, I'm jealous of these rookies getting to wander into The Zone for the first time. I set foot in The Zone when I was 12. I left it often, but it never left me. We cannot resist its siren call

STALKER is a niche series for one specific reason, its not a game series or a novel or a movie, its a vibe

Mercenaries caught a Stalker, brought him to the well, dipped him to the waist head down, held for a minute, pulled him out and ask:

Got artifacts or money?

Nope. Again they dip him, pull him out.

Artifacts? Money?

Nope. Again they dip him…

Artifacts? Money? Stalkers patience’s running out…

Look guys, either dip further or hold longer. The water’s murky, how the heck am I supposed to find anything?

Please everyone, read Roadside Picnic, the book is amazing !

The wish of a simple man is the most terrifying one.

Sidenote: Tarkovsky, his wife Larissa that acted in the movie and the protagonist, Anatoly died of "suspicious caused" cancer some years after the movie.
It was recorded in an abandoned complex of chemical factories and the river is contaminated

The Strelok quote in the ending of SOC is phenomenal, because it's the most oddly comforting sentiment from an uncertain ending like that.
Sometimes the attitude of "I survived and I made a choice, damn it" is all it takes to feel warmth and closure in a troubled time.

The Strugatsky brothers were amazing, Roadside, Mountain Inn, Hard to be a King... all genius

Fun fact: the name of the project "C-Consciousness ", i.e. Common Consciousness in russian (on which the game scenario was originally written) writes like Общее Сознание or shortly О-Сознание, which can be prononsed as an Awareness (Осознание)

I just paused my STALKER 2 playthrough to watch your video. It’s great to see so many people being introduced to this amazing universe. Incredible video, as always (and great choice of music for the intro 😉). Whether it’s the book, the movie, or the games, all these works are amazing and unique, and they deserve to be experienced by as many people as possible. Now I can dive back into the Zone.

Now I understand why my youngest brother spoke so highly of the game when he first played. Your analysis goes quite deep. Pretty damn good job.

That was riveting. “To look at humanity and interpret.” Pretty much what all good art does. Thanks. Really enjoyed that. I’m currently playing Stalker 2.

STALKER has to be the most atmospheric and melancholic game in all of gaming, and I always loved it for that!

I once again find myself in awe at your diligence and your attention detail, youre a great storyteller and i like, many others, really do hope you continue to produce such a great content.

Roadside Picnic is my favorite SF book, after Solaris. Haunting, gritty and deep, they are unarguably science fiction but that is only a pretext for exploring ourselves.
Unexpectedly, cause it's a very high bar, this video does them justice.
