Minecraft Skyblock, But It's Ultra Hardcore - Episode 3

Watch as Impulse and Skizz yet again put their mastery of Skyblock on full display. This time in Minecraft 1.18! But that’s not all that’s new...we decided to play this one in not just Hardcore, but Ultra Hardcore! That means our hearts won't regenerate and if we die, the world is deleted. Oh, and also we share hearts so if one of us dies it's curtains for both of us. Enjoy! 😀

Loving Imp & Skizz Skyblock, as soon as I saw Ep1 I downloaded the map and started playing. For once I'm ahead of you guys in the world (won't last long though)!
My way to bring grass down to lower level is to place dirt / torch / dirt all the way down the ladder column then place dirt off the back of each torch (without falling of course).
Sometimes the grass skips a couple of blocks on the way down and it definitely travels faster vertically than horizontally in my experience.
It was easier in earlier Skyblock versions when there was enough early game dirt blocks to do it by towering up from the bottom.
Spoiler alert or maybe not, (I haven't watched all of this episode yet), dirt blocks are a mob drop in this version.

I also put any zombie villagers that spawn in my early mob farm into boats so I can cure them once I have access to brewing (haven't found obsidian in this world yet though) - it's better than breeding villagers because they give discounts from the initial conversion without needing to infect and cure them.

Boats are also good for passive mobs (except horses) as they are then removed from the mob cap and the chickens spit out their eggs in one spot for easy collection.

My greatest Skyblock achievement was full diamond armour in Skyblock 2.1 (when the black robe villagers only sold 2 types of diamond armour - chest plates and helmets I think). The other 2 pieces were obtained by mob drops from my mob farm (very rare to see mobs spawn with diamond armour but it did happen, thank goodness for Looting III).
Part of me misses that basic form of the game where you couldn't get everything (eg no quartz so no comparators, had to do everything with repeaters).

Here's a question...have you found a dripstone location in the world anywhere yet? That, and enough iron to make a cauldron (or if there's a witch hut island out there), and you'll have renewable lava....

Glad you guys are back to streaming the whole thing and just being relaxed and funny! The "cut, quiet on set" format made it feel a bit forced. <3 I'm probably used to "uncut" episodes because of Naked and Scared haha, so I like the "just hanging" vibe better. I remember in a survival world I made, I made a double simple tree farm (lines spaced far enough for maximum leafage, so basically a grid pattern for trees on dirt) and had a large mob spawner above it, with mobs constantly going down the water between the trees, made for a cool effect and a dangerous edge to my tree farming, it'd be very entertaining to see that sort of risks being taken on this!! Only one creeper blew up near me, but only damaged the structure for the trees, so doable while being safe, but also very stressful! Very much enjoying this series! Not sure if it's the stress of avoiding my schoolwork when I comment or pay extra attention to the videos, or the drinks I've been making (half pink whitney, half lemonade if anyone is wondering, it's bomb asf). But I'm staying up all night watching minecraft youtubers and doing schoolwork, so it's needed lmao. Not gonna enjoy when my drink ends but still lol

wandering traders can give pointed dripstone and if you guys can get some of those you can get infinite lava, also I think you can bonemeal a flower and you get another one back but I'm not sure

Since zombies drop dirt, make a mob spawner and collect on your riches!! And leave a block above leading to a fire circle around it to "let out" bats lol.
