Have you ever wondered what Gojo does while being locked up inside the Prison Realm? Later on in the series we learned that the time flows of the Prison Realm is very different from the normal world, as one second outside can be 1 day or 1 year, so basically he got the Itachi treatment. Therefore even though Gojo was sealed up for roughly 20 days, he could potentially experience a whole 10 years of suffering of emptiness, which is enough to drive anyone insane. But Gojo is no idiot, he knew that the more he thinks the higher chances of him driving himself insane, so for the most time he tried to keep his mind clear, trying not to think much about everything.

A clear example of Gojo's mental fortitude and conditioning. Dude's perception of time would make anyone go insane, so instead, he turned his prison into an inspiration for making his domain the size of a basketball, which seemed to be his favorite sport ironically.
