Aunt May giving Peter $20 is one of the most underrated touching scenes in superhero movies. The emotional bond between them almost makes you cry. Wish we had more of it in MCU Spiderman to explore the characters.

This scene is better than anything we ever got between Tom Holland and Marissa Tomei. This is such a REAL scene. These feel like REAL people. Just talking and being vulnerable. God this movie is a masterpiece

As a person from a poor family background it just hits me emotionally seeing their financial struggle.

Raimi knew that Peter Parker was a working class city kid at heart, it’s what made the comics so relatable to millions of kids, there was always a humanity quality to Spider-Man that Raimi understood in his films that you just don’t get in the MCU.

Jeez....this is so well shot. When she walks away from peter they blur her out slightly and focus on his face for a few seconds. We really get to see Peter struggling with his guilt over ben's death and whether to tell aunt may the truth. We can see all the thoughts racing through his mind. "Do I tell her? No...what would she do to me? She would blame me. But she would be right to do that. But I don't want to loose her too."

Such a well shot scene.

Rosemary Harris, a Tony-winning veteran of the stage and screen, treated this role with enthusiasm, instinct and dignity. Impeccable portrayal of Aunt May. Props to that woman. Bless her heart.

I don't know how to explain it, but without doing much Peter's eyes just has this look that he deeply cares about these people. This movie's got heart. It's one of the things I thought was missing with the new Spider-Man films. I love them all, but this movie does it the best.
