The turning knob isn’t just for safety to prevent reverse. When backing up you can use as a handle hanging out your side door.

The gearshift part was useful to prevent engaging reverse accidentally, especially with those gate gearboxes.

"Nah nah nah, let's put it in the worst place imaginable."

I’ll never forget when my neighbor bought one of these. I was 6 and I instantly fell in love with it and would sit on the street just staring at it. He ended up taking me for a drive in it and bought me a toy model of one for Xmas.

Another Fun Fact - the headlights on the Diablo are from the Nissan 300ZX. Lamborghini installed a horizontal cover on the top of the headlights to block the Nissan logo

Once spoke with a nice gentleman for about an hour about his Diablo SV at a local car show.
One fun fact I have to add is that you can tell the Diablos whose owner has stretched their legs by looking for rub marks underneath the tips of the wings.
At speed, the ends of the Wing Flex down to the point where they make contact with the body resulting in small rub marks on the rear of the quarter panels. 😁

This is the best short I've seen in a while, where you actually show off something interesting. Thank you for producing video content like this.

The battery cutoff part is actually one of the best ways I’ve seen a “kill switch” be implemented. Not even third party either. That’s straight from the manufacturer. Very cool.

Normally these sort of videos are pretty lame, but I actually feel very informed from this one.

A kill switch added from factory? Now that's just lovely. I love kill switchs on retro/vintage sportcars, it's a simple yet cool feature that adds itself nicely to these old cars which are almost deprived of any kind of comfort all for the sake of performance while still keeping a small fancy touch. And it's also a nice little antitheft device which can be quite effective when placed in a hidden spot.

The shift knob is so good when your tired / coming home from work. So you don't accidentally money-shift your car in to reverse.
