Leaving CCSF after spending two semesters there was one of the worst decision I made in my late teens/early 20s. I felt as though my Family was coercing me to return to Southern California to so called "help" my Family. At 19 years old with no money, essentially I was unable to do anything but make my personal situation worse. I went from getting recruiting letters from UCLA and Nebraska as well as everyone else this side of the Mississippi as a Junior in High School to working at a Homeless Shelter as a Security Guard. THIS IS A ROUGH GAME!!! It can be absolutely depressing.
I wasn't able to finally finish getting my Associates in Electronic Engineering Technology until I was 34 years old due to constant disruptions. These manifest themselves in the form of work and transportation issues. I finally was able to involve myself in a 6 figure career after obtaining my Degree. The true Irony is that most of the responsibilities in my career are very much like the things I did while I was DJing in High School.
If you're going to CCSF or anywhere else for that matter as a STUDENT/ATHLETE don't let ANYONE or ANYTHING get you off Task. Graduating, even from Junior College will give you more in the long run than you'll EVER be able to give it. DO NOT LISTEN to people that have not done it. LEARN TO ANNIHILATE your school work, eat high quality food that FIXES your body not just tastes good, train hard and rest. Two years seems like all the time in the World when you're 18, that's because any 2 year block can be used to describe 10.5% of your entire life. Hit me back when you're 55 and 2 years only describes 3.6% of your life. All the best..
