Hathaway went on to make good on her initial success with a long career. After numerous starring roles, she took two major roles in 2012 that defined her career for the rest of the decade. These roles were in the blockbuster films The Dark Knight Rises and Les Miserables. The former role as Catwoman may have won her more mass attention, but the latter role won the actress her first Academy Award, the award for Best Supporting Actress. Hathaway continued to have a successful career in Hollywood, and is still starring in films today.

Despite all of her success, Hathaway has never been quite able to achieve the positive reputation that she so seems to desire. Despite having gone out of her way to guarantee that she stays out of the tabloids, the star has gained a negative reputation amongst her audience in a different way due to her squeaky-clean image. Many people feel that they don't truly know Anne Hathaway, and the actress feels she might know why this is.

Despite the difficult battle ahead, Hathaway has already proven in her career that she is capable of doing much more than the average star. Her career has already seen her successfully transition through numerous phases, and this new name change may just be an indication that a new one is on the way.
