NOSTALGIA | MY FAVOURITE SONG FROM THE DPRK

Показать описание
Hello, comrades. The song, "Nostalgia", was kept in the heart of the Great Leader, Comrade Kim-Il Sung for all of his life, who liberated Korea and covered a protracted arduous road of revolution. Comrade Kim-Il Sung often loved and sang this song for all of his life, and during the brutal Anti-Japanese war, he often sung this song by campfire in secret camp under the bright light of the moon, and even sometimes by a stream with azaleas in bloom, which fueled the heroic guerillas with love for their country.
This happened in Manjiang in April Juche 25 or 1936. The newly formed main force of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, which was led by Comrade Kim-Il Sung, stayed in Manjiang for several days. One day, Comrade Kim-Il Sung was looking around the camp and he happened to hear the Anti-Japanese heroine, Comrade Kim-Jong Suk and other women guerilla fighters singing this song whilst they were washing clothes by the stream in the woods. He then approached the stream and said that they seemed to be thinking of their homes. Comrade Kim-Il Sung warmly remembered his home village Mangyongdae and unforgettable stories spun around it saying: Those far from the homeland specially yearn for the spring at home all the time. Mangyongdae lost in flowers in April was absolutely beautiful. Comrade Kim-Il Sung also impressively looked back upon unforgettable stories of his father who had covered the road of revolution full of trials with great ambition for the liberation of Korea, about his mother who had helped him in his revolutionary activities while undergoing all sorts of sufferings, though unwell, true to the last will of her husband, and stories about the last parting with his mother who was seeing him off when he was leaving for the South Manchurian expedition, leading the newly organised Anti-Japanese People's Guerilla Army. After he finished his story, Comrade Kim-Il Sung was lost in deep thought, and he quietly sang the song, "Nostalgia". Comrade Kim-Jong Suk, who was looking up to him, deepened her love for the country and the guerillas frequently sang the song "Nostalgia".
Comrade Kim-Il Sung liberated Korea overcoming countless trials, and he often sang the song to himself in the days of the bloody Anti-Japanese war. He even sung this song in his 80s in a resonant voice with ardent love for the country and the people. "Nostalgia" is a song of revolution, a song of the eternal struggle sung by Comrade Kim-Il Sung, who devoted his all to the country and the people, keeping it in his heart throughout his life.
