To be fair spending rp on what is literally just a color change for the skin feels like such a sin, I hope the "rework" isn't just them not doing it for 2 years and then when it returns we get 10 chromas every event and they cost 10k be each

Long story short riot is removing the most f2p friendly event we have had. Good job for a billionaire company being all greedy. Just cuz u reduced the price by 1k means nothing to a 2 years+ gap without the event.

I hate to waste money on chromas and currently I'm happy with my new-bought 1k BE black Cafe Soraka chroma. It's just not fair for Rito to remove one of the most friendly f2p event like as if everyone has the money to buy RP.

Damn that really sucks, i always wanted this ww skin even tho i barely play him anymore but he is still by far my most played champ, but even if i sell all my champ shard i only get to 98k Blue Essence not getting another chance is so disappointing because until then i would have collected it :(

Wish they would rework it so you could get stuff that you weren't able to before. Say you got into the game later on and there was a limited edition skin/emote/icon and you really want it.
I think that being able to get it from an event that only happens twice a year is a fair deal. Be it that you would have to pay with rp or be but I would buy it ngl.

I find it hard to judge Riot's decision with that little insight. I understand that it seems simple to re-establish an event like that but we don't know much about the internals of Riot.
1. Is the system prone to errors and needs to be redesigned?
2. Do they not have enough workforce for a redesign at the moment?
3. Have employees who were responsible for the system left the company without sufficient documentation on maintenance?
4. Are they planing to enhance the event and mission systems and need the team to focus on that?
5. Will they introduce other ways for you to spend BE?
6. Is it just not worth to invest time and effort in the system because it's not profitable?
And so on...

It's always easy to say that they just want to grab your money. But in the end Riot is a company. And the purpose of a company is to earn money for it's shareholders.

I got chromas in this event like Ahriversary(star guardian), kda all out akali, galaxy slayer zed, spirit blossom riven, and divine sword Irelia all for 1k BE each and it's kinda sad if we won't get this event again because all of this skins I mentioned earlier came from free chests and I'm a f2p player so this news makes me really sad.

If they're going to work on ee soon, they should've have some specific plans by now, which would be worth sharing with the community.
Eg. "We're going to change this feature, to work like that and that". Like they told us the plans on working on changing the gemstones into mythic essence, adding chest/capsule milestones etc.

But they of course won't because:
A) They won't ever bring ee back and will only use excuses for delay after delay
B) Since it's an event that's purely for players' good experience and brings them no money BUT takes their time, they will rebuild it in a way so it does bring them a lot of money twice a year, and people wouldn't like a free event becoming hidden behind a paywall.

They get enough money all year long, and still slowly cut down the quality of skins, events and get rid of event maps and special modes different than spellbook/urf/ofa.

They could have more f2p content or an event with free stuff twice or even once a year, just to appeal to many players and give them a reason to keep playing the game and get some nice stuff alongside.
And i'm saying that as someone who spent a LOT of money on league, free players don't feel appreciated enough.
