I thought Endgame was overrated, and to me, THIS is the worst scene in the movie.



We all know that sacrificing something they love is the only way to get the Soul Stone, but instead of trying to find a way to allow the other to make the sacrifice, they instead fight over trying to make it themselves. I DO understand that they were unwilling to let the other make the sacrifice, but I think I have a BETTER way to solve this: how about Black Widow pretending to try and throw Hawkeye over the edge, making Hawkeye feel betrayed and forcing him to throw her over instead? Think about it: Black Widow wouldn't be willing to let Hawkeye die and never see his family again, so she tricks him into sacrificing HER instead. I think THAT would be move emotional than just going: "I WANNA DO IT! NO, I WANNA DO IT! NO, I WANNA DO IT! ME! ME! ME!"
