I'm a Jets fan in Winnipeg. After having PLD on our team for 3 seasons, even I can't understand what happened to him. PLD was a 50/50 player. 50% of the games, he was a beast, a dominant player who was driving his line and very impactful at both ends of the ice. But the other 50% of the time, he's a no-show, a cancer to the team. I honestly thought that once he arrived on a team that he wanted to be on, that you'd see the dominant PLD much more often. But you haven't even seen him at all! And the season is half over!

PLD and Vilardi are night and day. Just watch both players reaction when they score. Vilardi is full of energy with " let's go!". While PLD has this "flat affect" look in his face when he scores at times.

I like JR because he has the common sense, Everyman opinion. He doesn't worry about hurting people's feelings. He doesn't worry about being PC, he says it like it is like a normal person.

Kings’ management knew PLD was lazy and had no heart, yet they gave him an egregiously bloated contract that will handicap this team for years. FIRE ROB BLAKE NOW!!

Similarly I have only watched the Kings this season when the Sabres played them recently, I had Mr. Dubois on my FHL roster a couple of seasons ago and if gets to play a full season he will crank in 20 something goals, which is not a bad thing, but there are players some teams can do without no matter their offensive output, in some instances it becomes addition by subtraction.

LA was so much fun to watch last year. So much energy and chemistry. This year they look disjointed.

LOVE Roenick! Always have. And... he's correct again.

WHY would Blake think that Dubois is a finishing piece to a contending team?
Gave away part of their future for this stiff?
That alone earns you a pink slip.

What happen to the Kings, they were earlier in the season looking like one of the best teams in the league. And by the Roenick your are a hall of famer.

Same could be said about Roenick’s time with the Kings

Never been a big Roenick fan, but he was usually a team guy. And he ain’t wrong here.

Yeah PL is heartless but I’m pretty sure Doughty was talking about Fiala.

Don't always agree with him but respect for JR's honesty, he always speaks his mind

JR was calling the kettle black here... He was the same way for the Kings...

JR is spot-on!!
It's a shame GMRB and Luc Robitaille were so enamored with PLD.
They gave up a King's ransom...pun intended

Thank God he didn't come to Montreal not the kind of attitude you want around a very young developing team.

Well it appears that Misters Philip Anschutz and Ed Roski did not even peruse this video as the head coach gets fired not the general manager

One player really doesn’t take down the whole team. The Kings were at least a top 3 team at one point in the season, up until the Islanders game on the road. Besides PLD, Talbot has come down to earth, and actually is even a below average goalie right now. The Kings defense isn’t playing as good as before. Fiala is making way too many turnovers by trying to be fancy with puck, by shuffling it back and forward through a line of defenders until he loses it. Usually he loses it just ahead of the blue line, where it’s an outnumbered attack or a breakaway. I think he has the second worse +/- on the team next to PLD, and that’s with all his assists he gets and a decent amount of goals. Ironically both players have a lot of talent, but they’re not playing winning hockey. The last thing I want to point out is the offense is struggling to score goals, on a team that has a lot of goal scorers. The Kings don’t have any superstars, but they have a lot of players that can get you 20 goals. Right now though, they either get gun shy, or they can’t hit an open target. Kopi can’t find a shot he likes. Same with Fiala. I think several players lost their confidence on shooting. They hesitate for a second or two before they shoot it. That’s a lack of confidence. They need to get back to using their instincts and stop thinking about the shot. Also get back to setting up for tip in shots and rebounds. The players I’m most happy with is Byfield and Trevor Moore. Kempe is playing okay too, but a little streaky like he usually is. Byfield is playing a complete game, which he probably is the only one. Also they’re not getting much from their fourth line until the last game against the Preds. That needs to improve.

The moment that Pierre-Luc Dubois got to LA, the king was going in the opposite direction despite having a strong start. The moment he started calling himself PLD or PL Dubois, this dude became a Prima Donna. Essentially, he went "Hollywood" the day that he signed with the Kings. T-Mac addresses this multiple times in the media. He had a similar issue with Ilya Kovochuk when he played for the Kings. That proves that T-Mac can call you out when you're not doing your part and will hold you accountable. The fact that Rob Blake didn't see Dubois as the problem, T-Mac would still have his job.

Doughty was focused on Fiala in that comment tbh. Fiala is a Cookie Monster. It’s why he’s on his 3rd team already. PLD is so out of it rn you think he’s concerned about points? Dudes not concerned about anything 🤣🤣🤣🤣
