The most challenging adventure of our around the world bicycle journey so far. To avoid the “tunnel of death” we took the only alternative road that hasn’t been used for 20 years and marked as closed on the maps, Anzob pass in Tajikistan.

We take you with us on a bicycle journey around the world and show it how we see it. We hope to inspire more people to go on great adventure themselves or if they can't, to get a sense of ours.
We spend a huge amount of time, effort and money on creating our content, so every contribution is helping us to continue our project a little while longer.

What a beautiful and harsh place yet people are strong, warm, and friendly.
You two have such intrepid souls.
May the wind be always at your back and the road rise up to meet you.
Greetings from Amizmiz, on the foothills of the high Atlas.

Glad to see your videos--I always look forward to your journeys. I've watched other YouTuber bikepackers go through that same road and they had the same issues. And just for that, I'm buying you coffees. Enjoy, stay safe.

Such a great video again! I really like the production value of your videos. Also the small documenation part of the life on the metrology station was very interesting!

very powerful ending with so appropriately chosen music and all. It's unbelievable that people can survive in such isolation. It sad to leave them.

The Anzob pass! When you left Germany you wouldn't even have dreamed you could ride that route. Well done indeed

Fantastic I just love how you guys incorporate the local music to the areas that you guys are traveling through. And the couple on top of the mountain. Whom you guys will maybe never see again. But the connection was spiritual

You're a magnificent team! Your videos are great. That couple who's lived 30 years in isolation on top of the world, wow, they're another great team! Videos like that put things in perspective, that's why they're so good.

I was touched by this video, the beauty of the mountains, the struggle, the strong emotions, the resolution and the lesson. A complete story.

First time viewer, was able to pin point the pass on GE and all its details, what an amazing, rugged part of the world you are in. Exploring it on GE when it first came out was thrilling, now in my old age to be able to tag along on various YT channels is an adventure I never dreamed of in my younger days. Subscribed and best wishes.

Really enjoyed the video. At first, my reaction was no way would I do this, and I still say that now after watching the whole video. But look at the scenery. Unfortunately like most people I watched this on my phone. Going to have to rewatch it on the big screen. And the weather station… it’s like you climbed up to a different century. These people devoted their lives to taking measurements every three hours. Similar to how lighthouses used to be manned, and now they are just automated. What memories you are creating! I still would not do this but I commend you for it.

Communication is key when travelling as a pair but also in groups. A lot of information can be lost in translation. However, I know it's difficult to focus on communicating your vision/plan/idea when you've had a stressful and draining day. As long as you learn something from this and use it going forward, you'll be fine!

All the best in your next cities!

What coincidence in life, i saw this same highway on another favourite youtube motorcyclist wildlens by abrar, obviously the same hostel. I happened to meet a taiwanese traveller in Spiti valley, India who had just came from those same places.
Keep living and travelling. ❤

Your magnificent videos help us discover the world, but more than anything else, they show us that sometimes the power of the spirit can be stronger than anything else. Your climb to the summit was more than a challenge, and the fact that Thomas felt so bad, before arriving at the top and then for two days but still got back on the bike to come back down is a lesson to us all. You have to know how to fight against adversity. I deeply admire your mental strength and courage. 🤗
You were so brave to go though this long tunnel I could never do that ! One suggestion, why don't you try to stop a truck or a pickup and ask the driver to take you thought the tunnel ?
