DIY 'Tin Coat'

I used a wax recipe I found on YouTube to make my own "Tin Coat".

I heard you add some oil like mineral oil or tung oil to the melted wax and it'll make the cooled wax on the coat softer. I'm researching to try it out myself so don't take me as gospel.
