Although the 90-degree method for bay parking can work extremely well for certain cars, there are pitfalls to it and that could be anything from the wheelbase dimension of a car, the turning circle of the car, or more commonly the fact that not every car park has equal and standard sized parking bays. The standard width of a car parking bay should be 2.4 meters, however, if the bay is bigger than 2.4 meters the method of carrying out the 90-degree method can become very unreliable. Therefore learning the 45deg could make life a lot easier for you and also tends to be the preferred method for experienced drivers.

I am preparing my G2 test(Toronto)!!!

Turn the steering wheel fully to the right & drive until I see the corner of the parking lot in the side view mirror --> I want to ask✏

1) When I see the corner of the parking lot in my side view mirror, and then I need to straight the steering wheel before next step (reverse), right??!

2) My foot should fully step on the brake or lightly step on it when straightening the steering wheel?
