With Sheridan still in Z’Ha’Dum with one of the First Ones, Babylon 5 continues to fall apart. Delenn becomes filled with rage and grief and wants to start bombing planets; G’Kar and Marcus both end up captured; Franklin is unsure of what to do next. The conscience in this episode comes from — LONDO???

Do you have a Vorlon inside you? Let us know in the comments! Thanks as always for your participation, and for not spoiling any events that happen after this episode.

G'Kar and Lando are an interesting pair. I'm thinking this is a bit "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." The Captain meets The First One, that will be an interesting story arc, and Chief is being interrogated by someone. Earth Force maybe?

I noticed that Harlan Ellison is listed as a consultant.

So, Garabali's Star Fury was found and G'kar was trying to question the guy who found it. He wasn't being subtle about it, so once Marcus decided to tag along, as a Ranger trained in information gathering, it didn't take long to find G'kar.
As for the other questions Lorien asks, when i watched it the first time, I assumed the other questions were tied to the other First Ones. With a few years (well, decades) of thinking on it, I've come to the conclusion that I was completely misunderstanding Lorien's point. Yes, the Shadows constantly ask what "What do you want?" searching both for levers for control and individuals whose ambition is boundless. After all, they see desire/competition not merely as a motivator but the goal unto itself. And the Vorlons are contemplative, constantly probing identity with "Who are you, " knowing that no answer is truly complete, peeling away the constructed layers of titles and connections, searching for the truest self, who you are alone and in the dark. But the biggest problem is that for both, they see their questions not as a tool but a mantra. "It does not matter what you want as long as you want it more, " and "understanding the limitless is possible unless we limit ourselves." But the point Lorien is making is that while ALL of these questions are valuable tools for understanding, none works by itself, not even his favorite, "Why?" I'd argue that the message is not that you have the "right" answer, but that you ask them at all, that the search itself is the goal.

Oops. I just realized that I spoiled "when you're falling off a cliff" story in my comment for Zha'hadum. Sorry! The scenes with Lorien still get me when I rewatch. "Why are you here?" such an interesting companion to Who are you? and What do you want? I absolutely love love love the scene at the end wit the flashback. The music from that section just before he cries out "Delenn" just blows me away every time I hear it.

Wasn’t it clear from the season 3 ending episode that the philosophical difference between the Vorlons and shadows is more about order vs chaos than good vs evil?
