In 2005, Dr. Andreas Diacon founded an organization called TASK to help accelerate the development pipeline for novel TB treatments. They’ve overseen trials of multiple drugs that are now being used to cure patients, including some with drug-resistant TB.

Here in the Philippines about 1 million people have TB. Nearly 70 people a day die here from TB. The work Bill Gates does is incredible, and very much needed.

N95 masks are not cheap, just getting donations for the mask helps. The next problem is TB usually caused by poor living standards, where to many people live in the same house and they are rebreathing the same air
