Born and raised in Bloomfield Hills lived there my whole life! These kind of houses became more popular in the latter years. In my neighborhood they tore down many perfectly fine big houses to build homes like this including my old home! The one that stands there now looks like this.

Don’t move to Michigan!! Houses are over priced, bad roads, gas tax and the list goes on and on. Bloomfield is a stones throw from Pontiac!

It's not just the price of the house. You have to contend with the land taxes. The water taxes. The school tax. The security in the house is a nightmare due to the fact, that it has got too many windows, and doors. And then the final question; who is going to clean everything. I would need several people constantly cleaning the house.
Owning a house like that unless you have the money, you can't afford it. Because it's not just a buying price, but people don't think about that.
