You guys should try this with tomato

in indonesia usually we eat cucumber with sambal rujak, which is a brown sugar paste mix with crushed thai chili, tamarind paste, and a little bit of shrimp paste, it tastes sweet, spicy, a little sour and savory, some people use crushed ground nut too

As a Bengalie (Bangladesh and West Bengal still share the same condiments), my friend should try Balachong, which is dried crushed fish in a dry crushed mix of spices. Goes really well with rice and salad or mushed potatoes mixed with cooked onions and garlic with rice.
