World of Tanks - Patch 8.9 test server Type 3 Chi-Nui Kai preview

The Japanese are finally here! Banzai!
Well, one of them anyway. A tier 5 medium tank. This is the test server, so things may still change, but so far my impression is that it's okay. Not bad, not awesome, but okay.
Which is good, because I was, and still am, worried about the Japanese tree. The Japanese are not known for their awesome tanks, simply because the pacific theater was not very well suited for them. Ships and planes were the priority, and they made some great ones. Tanks, however, were mostly neglected. There were enough Japanese tanks to fill out the lower tiers, but what WG are going to do about high tier tanks, able to compete with the cold war era tanks of other nations, I have no idea. Hopefully we will find out in patch 9.0 or whatever they call it.

Anyway, the Type 3 Chi-Nui Kai is decent. Not very good acceleration and maneuverability, decent top speed, very little armor, good gun. As long as the gun is good, you can always make something of it, with careful play, so I'm optimistic. If the Japanese "theme" is going to include good guns, there are limits to have bad they can be. So, all in all, I'm happy so far.
