McKagan isn't given enough credit as a bass player. He was a huge part of the original G&R sound.

I remember when Appetite for Destruction first came out guitar stores would rip off beginner guitarist. By selling them cheap gear and doubling the price. Kay starter packs $375 for a guitar with a practice amp and chipboard case. Bass guitars were $450 for a short scale Kay starter with a gig bag, and starter amp $75 extra dollar I know of 4 local shops that did this. I wanted a Bass back then now days so many choices under $400

What I want to know is how this dude stays so lean at his age. Goddam.

I always thought that AFD album was all studio guys. Hard to imagine those burnouts played so perfectly.

Besides "Ibanez Chorus" there is no statement on his sound, what's the concept, how does he achieve it, in this video. Meh.
