Trying to overtake PRO GAMER in GO KARTING

I tried to overtake pro esports gamer and coach @SuellioAlmeida , but with such a narrow track and a brilliant defense, there was no way I was getting around. In situations like this, all you can do is wait/force a mistake because the line options through tight corners are so limited. As much as I liked the karts here, I have to say the Nurburgring's own indoor kart track had a very disappointing layout. Has anyone else tried this track?

I think the reason certain tracks are so Monaco-ish is simple. They want to put as many corners into a limited space as possible. Too many straights, it's a Nascar oval track, and a bunch of empty space in the middle. Go the opposite, you get a track like this, where every inch of space is used, but the track is narrow, and corners are tight.

I agree, i once had a track that was so narrow that they had to wave blue flags for every single overtake

Yep, like others say, they aren’t designed for overtaking as these indoor tracks are meant for lap times. But with slower drivers its hard to beat the top lap as you’ll always have someone slower ruining your lines.

For real, had a massive crash once because I got blue flagged on a slow warm up lap and while overtaking he couldn’t even get the move done without touching my rear, making me a passenger….. indoor kart tracks are way too tricky in these situations most of the times

The reason kart facilities are always so tight is because they want to try to out the longest track in the smallest building they can to maximize profits

I'd say since they got limited space they try cram in lots of corners to make the track fun, but if not done properly then the track can be stupidly tight for overtaking e.g. (of a company that makes good indoor tracks) Teamsport, tight tracks, but have enough space to make overtakes. (AKA a place or two to make overtakes with minimal to zero contact if done properly, which is not hard, like some other tracks e.g. this one show in the video)

I think the issue is space on indoor. Most outdoor tracks have at least one or two major overtake places. But indoor tracks are just often to narrow, perhaps to keep speed and injuries down as there is no runoff.

Most rental indoor kart tracks are for inexperienced drivers so that less can go wrong so they obviously trim the kart down but they also make sure the entry is narrow (on some exceptions of corners/tracks) but also make the exit wider so it gives them a little more run off space so that they can avoid more crashes.
