How to Plant Begonia Tubers | Get Ready For Summer! ☀️

Growing Begonias is really easy! These brilliant flowers produce stunning rose-like clustered blooms and are a lovely addition to a shaded area of a summer garden.

Begonia tubers can be planted from February to April for Summer blooms The ones I chose are cascading so perfect for hanging containers!

Only a couple of steps to stunning blooms:
1) Select a suitable container with a drainage hole. Keep in mind the growth habit of the begonia you choose (upright or cascading)
2) Space them 5cm apart and plant 2cm deep
3) The roots will grow from the more rounded end which goes at the bottom
4) Make sure to tilt the tuber slightly outward to avoid water pulling in the concave area where the new growth will appear as it can cause rot
5) Water well and keep in a shaded area

At the first frost the foliage will die off and the tubers can be lifted and stored to be planted the following season.
