Fly Fishing Snook On The Beach HURRICANE IAN/October

Показать описание
Hurricane Ian was the deadliest hurricane to hit the state of Florida since the 1935 Labor Day hurricane. A large and destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane, Ian caused widespread damage across western Cuba and the southeast United States, especially the states of Florida and South Carolina
As a Miami-Dade resident we got extremely lucky. Prayers for those still struggling with the aftermath of this storm. Please help your fellow human beings ,by any means possible, love thy neighbor. Alot of destruction to counties in Florida and up in the Carolinas.
I had made a couple of trips to the beach after Ian. The first trip was a couple of days after the storm. The second was about a week after. Alot of debris. Boats, telephone poles, conchs the size of a small cooler, and tires, everywhere, for miles. Crews and workers non stop on the beaches getting things back to normal.
The water has been "dirty", brown/greenish tint. I was throwing 3" deceiver and minnow patterns, in white and chartreuse. The water temperature has slightly cooled down a bit , I was finding success wading in spots where I can feel differences in temperature, not just cold water. Todays tide was bigger than usual, and really moving.
