Not sure what I think about Dwarf Fortress coming to steam. I love the game, but I don't feel like the current game is ready for the general public. While seasoned players can navigate the UI fluidly, it's going to very difficult for newcomers to understand - especially without the Lazy Newb Pack or other tools that help. Selling the game on Steam is a great idea, but the game needs to be developed for Steam. A pretty tileset and new music doesn't really do enough to make it worth it at this time - in my opinion. I play every single one of the DF clones that comes to steam and itch. Dwarf Fortress is still the Grandfather of all of these games, but Grandpa needs to get a hip replacement before he can go play with the kids.

HYPE! I've always loved the depth of DF but could never really fully get into it because of the lack of graphics and UI, now my dreams have come true! Now I pray for the day this gets graphics on par with modern games.
