Hello friends, today I am starting the process of writing my first fantasy novel! I have been feeling extremely hopeless lately and the thing that really gets me out of this slump is to do things that get me excited and bring me joy! I am studying the book called "The Anatomy of Story" by John Truby and it has been helping to plan out my first fantasy novel!

In this video I take you along for a couple of days as I try to organize a couple of fantasy novel stories I have in my mind. I share with you some of these ideas and you'll see me go through trying to dig into all of these ideas and set on one story I want to really focus on and write. What does she discover in this fantasy realm?? Now I have to know! 😊 I have a document on my computer with writing ideas too so it was fun for me to see you go through these book exercises. I definitely go through ups and downs with my happiness/motivation so I understand that! It's wild how much it can color our views of ourselves, our projects, our relationships, everything. Sometimes I can find ways to pull through it and sometimes I just need to rest, be gentle with myself and wait for my positivity to return naturally. i love the storyline of Magia discovering a world she's only heard in legends, if i may suggest for Magia to be *excited* about this fictional land being real? what i mean is in Paola Santiago's series, in the beginning Paola wasn't happy about her "moms stupid leyendas" being real, and that made me so sad. if the magical worlds we've grown up learning about turned out to be real id be SO. HAPPY.! ive found a lot of stories lately where the mc denies denies denies and doesn't dare to believe in the magic at first. id personally love an mc that jumps head first and wants to learn everything there is to learn (maybe to a fault?!) 🧙🧚
