Very interesting. This is the probability for the gambling game called craps. Specifically, the outcome of each roll(sum of 2 dices) is always in play. Furthermore, analyzing the outcome of say 5(sum) vs 7(sum) in which the other outcomes(3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) are ignored is of great interest to the bettor.
