I'm a long-time Lexus owner having had multiple Lexus vehicles... absolutely love them, extremely reliable... Maybe you haven't gotten a chance to experience the Lexus ownership reliability trajectory that you'll have while owning one versus any other luxury brand. It seems you know nothing abut cars. The Lexus ES 350 is TopGun of practicality, reliability, and a truly timeless design. Yes, it shares a platform with the outgoing Avalon, and many things about the Camry, At one point it was based in the Camry years ago... but that is a GREAT thing, and a testament to its refinement, not a weakness at all... The Toyota Camry is well know for its durability and reliability, and earns the nickname of "Tank", and this quality far more than just extends to the ES 350, the Avalon platform is SOLID.
As for the door handle, it is one of the most beautiful things in the design of the ES, that brush nickel look coming out of the door without any frame or indent, has been found to be attractive and beautiful by many enthuasists. It is a unique touch in the car's interior design. This is an example of how beauty can lie in the details, and Lexus has always been great at this. Every aspect, down to the muffler you mentioned, shows careful thought and design implementation, if you want real exhaust pipes you need to look at other brands. Lexus invests the resources that you're paying for in a car into the reliability of the vehicle, engine, transmissions, electronic components, plain longevity of the motor train and suspension...
This is how they're able to offer such a long extended warranty through their Certified pre-owned Lexus programs, because they're so reliable, they can afford to do that. Long and lengthy (everything covered under warranty) added to cars under 100k miles and up to 7 years old, the Lexus Certified Pre-owned car program they've been running has been a winner and they don't lose money, because the cars don't break down. When you by them certified they're covered for a very long time with the same FACTORY warranty, and provide loaner cars. Since their service departments aren't flooded with tons and tons of cars with problems that need parts replaced, Toyota/Lexus saves money there and passes that on to us in the super reliable vehicles the manufacture.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but it seems your video has struck a discordant note with many people in the comments, myself included. Maybe a BMW or Mercedes might suit your tastes more, but for those who appreciate the reliability, practicality, and attention to detail that Lexus provides, the ES 350 remains a top contender.

Its based on toyota camry. However its not camry at all, instead it is heavier, smoother, advanced suspensions, and thick doors, thich frame which makes is heavier
